Nearly half a million New Yorkers are living with Alzheimer’s disease, with just as many Caregivers providing support to those affected by the disease. Serving 14 counties including: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, St. Lawrence, Tioga, and Tompkins. The Central New York Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is here to support our community.
We offer FREE education, guidance, and many resources to individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, as well as their caregivers, families, and healthcare providers. We’re also deeply committed to advocating for the needs and rights of those affected, while pushing forward vital research aimed at treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure.

Social Programs
Social interaction is one way we can preserve our brain's health. For someone living with dementia, learning about something new brings wonder and enjoyment.Our social engagement programs are built for people living with dementia and their caregivers to experience history and culture together. These opportunities provide meaningful connections that improve relationships, increase confidence and decrease emotional triggers.
