Mission

Founded in 2010, Young ProfessionALZ provides opportunities for 22 - 40-year-old young professionals (and anyone young-at-heart) to join together to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias through volunteering, advocating, and fundraising to further the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Vision

Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s. To make that vision a reality, it will take hard work and dedication of everyone, especially our young advocates. Young ProfessionALZ organizes and supports various activities to achieve its vision: The Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the Ride to End Alzheimer’s, TackleALZ, and Comedy for a Cause. Members can volunteer at other association events, attend association-hosted symposiums, participate in advocacy events, and support initiatives that help the Alzheimer’s community (visiting assisted living facilities, donation drives, etc.). Members of the group will also have the opportunity to network and gain leadership development through committee positions.

Get Involved

Involvement in Young ProfessionALZ can range from serving on the committee to volunteering a few times a year when available - your level of commitment is up to you! The group regularly meets virtually and in person to discuss ongoing initiatives and association updates. We encourage our members to attend our group meetings, participate in events and steward the Young ProfessionALZ vision.
