Held annually, we offer educational conferences throughout Oregon & SW Washington. These science-based events are designed for general audiences, those living with or concerned about memory loss, professionals, care providers and family care partners looking for the latest in Alzheimer's and dementia research, best practices in caregiving, and tips for brain health and aging.


Some events may include CEUs for professionals.
 

The McGinty Conference on Alzheimer's and Aging

Oregon Convention Center

The Alzheimer's Association McGInty Conference is Oregon's leading research and education event designed for family and professional caregivers. This conference honors the legacy of Portland geriatrician, Dr. Dean McGinty, who was an early advocate and pioneer in the movement to support families caring for those with chronic illness. Standard tickets are $100. Student tickets are $50.
 
  • The first 250 Oregon family caregivers to register will be admitted for free, due to collaboration with Oregon Care Partners.
  • Up to 6.5 CEUs available.
  • Lunch will be provided.

Mini McGinty Conferences include educational programs about brain health, aging, and dementia, similar to the annual McGinty Conference. Our 2024-2025 season includes 15 local conferences. These events are no-cost, single-day workshops that include educational programs and presentations.
