About the journal 
A&D: BSEA is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that examines how social, economic and behavioral determinants impact and inform health policy, interventions and strategies pertaining to dementia care and health outcomes in aging.

Submissions
The journal encourages submission of interdisciplinary studies, in-depth reviews and commentaries by research colleagues. All research published in Alzheimer's & Dementia: BSEA undergoes peer review, a process in which independent experts evaluate a study's scientific merit and confirm that its conclusions are justified. The new brain health section within Alzheimer's & Dementia and Alzheimer's & Dementia: Behavior and Socioeconomics of Aging provides a dedicated home for interdisciplinary research focused on preserving and improving brain health across the lifespan. Led by Dr. Yen Ying Lim, the section emphasizes actionable, translatable science — from biological mechanisms to lifestyle, social and population-level strategies — that advances resilience, risk modification and real-world impact.
