A world without Alzheimer's disease — you can help make it happen!
Our volunteers are passionate and inspired, and they want to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. Whether you can spare a couple of hours a week or make a more significant time commitment, we hope you will consider joining this very special community. Volunteer opportunities are available in Oregon and SW Washington.
Volunteers Move the Mission

Program volunteers work directly with our communities by leading support groups, presenting educational webinars, engaging with groups of faith, conducting outreach, and much more.
See the Memories in the Making volunteer flyer if you are interested in facilitating a watercolor program for people living with Alzheimer's and other dementia.

Volunteers drive critical changes to legislation and research funding. Become an advocacy volunteer to help keep Alzheimer's a priority at the state and federal levels; this is also a great way to build public policy experience.

Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease research, care and support. Walk is driven by community volunteers ready to make a local impact. No matter your skillset, Walk to End Alzhiemer's has a place for you. Contact Dana Kilgus at dakilgus@alz.org, Jen Osojnicki at jeosojnicki@alz.org, or Kaitlyn Bertholet at kmbertholet@alz.org to learn more or to sign up.

Your story matters and we need volunteers with a passion for sharing the stories of others. Our writing and storytelling volunteers help tell our community stories to make an impact on social media and with the press. You can fill out our story submission form to share your own personal story, and let other's know to do the same!

The Longest Day® is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 21, people from across the world will fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through a fundraising activity of their choice. This year, we need you to help lead the volunteer committee. Contact Rachel Sarasohn at rwsarasohn@alz.org to learn more or to sign up.

Thank you for your support, we rely on our volunteers to make possible our vision of a world without Alzheimer's disease and all other dementia. Still have questions about volunteering? Call us 24/7 at 800.272.3900 to speak to our staff about getting involved.
