    Chooza Moon, Ph.D., RN

    Chooza Moon, PhD, RN, is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the University of Iowa. Her research explores the impact of sleep and circadian rhythms on aging and neurodegenerative diseases. She is building a research program that focuses on interventions targeting circadian rhythm changes—such as bright morning light therapy, consistent sleep-wake routines, timed food intake, and structured exercise—to enhance cardiovascular and neurocognitive health. Her work has received support from the Alzheimer’s Association and through a KL2 Scholar Award from the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Iowa.
