Dr. Kindy is a neuroscientist with over 45 years of lab based biomedical research experience. He is a Senior Research Career Scientist at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center and a tenured Professor at the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He divides his time between research/clinical/teaching/administrative activities related to the research service and other research related activities. He is the Director of the Botanical Medicinal Research and Education Consortium (BMREC). He has been funded as a PI by external grants for over 35 years and participated in collaborative research throughout this time. His research group has broad experience in the generation and analysis of transgenic mice for AD, TBI, PTSD and other disorders.
