These donations pass directly to us, avoiding probate and potentially reducing your estate taxes.
Benefits of beneficiary designation gifts
- Simple to set up — no need to change your will.
- Avoid probate and ensure a quick transfer of assets.
- May reduce your estate taxes.
- Retain full control of your assets during your lifetime.
How to give through beneficiary designations
Ways to give through beneficiary designations
- Bank accounts. Name the Alzheimer's Association as the beneficiary of your checking or savings accounts or CDs.
- Brokerage accounts. Designate the Alzheimer's Association as your beneficiary for financial accounts of stocks, bonds or mutual funds.
- Other financial accounts. Retirement accounts, annuities and other financial plans often allow beneficiary designations. Simply request a form from your financial institution.
