Giving Through Beneficiary Designation of Financial Accounts

Giving Through Beneficiary Designation of Financial Accounts

Naming the Alzheimer's Association as a beneficiary of your bank, brokerage or other financial accounts is a simple and effective way to support our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. These donations pass directly to us, avoiding probate and potentially reducing your estate taxes.

    Benefits of beneficiary designation gifts

    • Simple to set up — no need to change your will.
    • Avoid probate and ensure a quick transfer of assets.
    • May reduce your estate taxes.
    • Retain full control of your assets during your lifetime.

How to give through beneficiary designations

Ways to give through beneficiary designations

    • Bank accounts. Name the Alzheimer's Association as the beneficiary of your checking or savings accounts or CDs.
    • Brokerage accounts. Designate the Alzheimer's Association as your beneficiary for financial accounts of stocks, bonds or mutual funds.
    • Other financial accounts. Retirement accounts, annuities and other financial plans often allow beneficiary designations. Simply request a form from your financial institution.

No matter the type of account, check with an advisor or your account administrator for requirements.

If interested, our Tax ID is #13-3039601. Our legal name is the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, Inc. dba the Alzheimer's Association.
