    Brain Health Roundtable

    Brain Health Roundtable

The Alzheimer's Association Brain Health Roundtable aims to elevate brain health as a public health priority and drive impact through a coordinated and collaborative approach.

The U.S. POINTER study, a multi-domain lifestyle intervention trial, found that addressing multiple key risk factors for dementia — including diet and physical activity — improves cognition. These findings, along with a growing body of evidence, highlight the urgent need to accelerate the impact and uptake of brain-healthy behaviors.

To advance this work, the Alzheimer’s Association developed the Brain Health Roundtable, a multi-sector initiative convening leaders from health systems, public health and community organizations.

    About the Brain Health Roundtable

The Alzheimer’s Association Brain Health Roundtable is a national coalition of leaders advancing brain health as a key public health priority. Through cross-sector collaboration, the Roundtable drives unified action on modifiable risk factors for dementia, working to promote and improve brain health across the country. Roundtable members help shape priorities, identify opportunities and align on solutions that will impact the future of brain health.

    Roundtable objectives

The Brain Health Roundtable aims to:

    • Convene regularly to highlight new insights and emerging opportunities in brain health.
    • Produce tangible outputs (examples might include policy briefs, toolkits and programmatic guidelines) to advance brain health.
    • Drive actionable brain health priorities — both collectively as a Roundtable and across each member organization.
    • Track progress with shared metrics that demonstrate impact at the national level.

    Collaborating to create lasting impact

The Brain Health Roundtable brings together a diverse network of organizations, from health systems and disease-specific organizations to employer coalitions and public health groups, to ensure brain health is prioritized and embedded across sectors. Roundtable members explore and advance a variety of key areas of opportunity. Examples might include quality measures related to brain health and risk factors, brain health messaging, and scaling education and awareness efforts.
