    Adopt a Healthy Diet

Current research suggests that eating a heart-healthy diet benefits both your body and your brain, and may contribute to decreasing the risk for cognitive decline and dementia. Heart-healthy eating includes limiting the intake of sugar and saturated fats and making sure to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. No one diet is best.

Be aware that while companies or individuals may promote "medical foods" or dietary supplements, there is no single food, beverage, ingredient, vitamin or supplement (PDF) that has been proven to prevent or cure Alzheimer's or any other dementia.

The first survivor of Alzheimer's is out there, but we won't get there without you.
