Dean Brenner is vice chair of the Alzheimer's Association Board of Directors. He also serves as chair of the District of Columbia Brain Health Advisory Coalition, a group of Washington, D.C.-based stakeholders organized by the District of Columbia Health Department to advance brain health in D.C.
From 2022 to 2024, Brenner was chair of the Federal Communications Commission's Technological Advisory Council, a group that is leading the FCC's early planning for 6G. Previously, Brenner worked for 18 years as an executive with Qualcomm Incorporated. He directed Qualcomm's global spectrum strategy and technology policy initiatives and represented Qualcomm before the Federal Communications Commission and other regulators around the world responsible for spectrum and technology policy. Brenner also led the company's successful efforts to win regulatory approval and spectrum around the world for new wireless technologies. During his time at Qualcomm, he also created and led the company's initiatives to support employees with a connection to Alzheimer's. Brenner received a bachelor of arts from Duke University and a juris doctor from Georgetown University.
Brenner was elected to the Alzheimer's Association Board of Directors in 2020. He has served as vice chair since 2025.
