    Katie Evans

As chief programs and mission engagement officer, Katie Evans provides strategic leadership for the Alzheimer's Association's national portfolio of programs that advance brain health and dementia risk reduction, expand early detection and diagnosis, accelerate treatment readiness, and ensure individuals and families receive high-quality care and support. Her work bridges science, systems change, and community — translating research progress into scalable, real-world impact.

Evans oversees the Association's national programs and services across the full dementia continuum, including Public Health, Health Systems, Mission Engagement, and Care and Support Programs and Research. Additionally, she guides the Association's 24/7 Helpline, one of the nation's most trusted around-the-clock dementia support resources, providing support in more than 200 languages.

Under her leadership, the Association has strengthened its capacity to deliver modern, scalable support through new and expanding offerings, including ALZPro® — the Association's central professional hub for evidence-informed dementia resources and continuing education — the national Dementia Care Navigation portfolio (services, training, and certification), expanded Project ECHO programs to build workforce readiness, and the Center for Dementia Respite Innovation to advance solutions that support caregivers and families.

Before joining the Association in 2019, Evans spent nearly 15 years at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in development roles with increasing responsibility. She holds a master of arts degree from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor's degree in advertising from the University of Florida. She has a graduate certificate in public health, with an emphasis in community health management, and is also pursuing a master's in public health with a concentration on population health from the University of Florida.
